POETS AND POETRY reading and writing class Through games, listening, speaking, and writing exercises the class will be introduced to new poems and poets each week as a way to strengthen and inspire their own writing voice, be encouraged to trust their creative instincts, and share their unique experience of the world around them through writing poetry. A variety of prompts and poetic forms will be presented to help students discover new ways to shape their ideas, and they will have to the opportunity to appreciate and applaud each other’s work, as well as be encouraged by their peers....

DRAWING: Art History and/or Comic Book class Artist of all levels explore color, shape, texture and line as they begin with still life and progress to interpreting famous works of art.   At the same time the history of art will be interwoven with the curriculum. There is no requirement to be an artist at the start, but it is about learning to see the world through an artist’s eyes. Short Story Writing class

Join award winning writer TJ Glenn as he helps would-be and current writers explore the whys and whats of creating short stories by examining classics by masters and by writing their own new masterpieces! Through the examination of classics, students write their own versions of some of the scenes, then create and workshop their own short stories.
